The End

Today marks our last actual day of work as part of the Schools 4 Schools South Africa 2009 Semester 2 team. We’ve survived the aftermath of a fire, a flood, and a lightning strike. We’ve had people come and go, frustrating lows and exhilirating highs. We’ve worked hard, played hard and relaxed hard, soaking up the sights and sounds of Africa along the way. We’ve been inspired, saddened, annoyed and delighted by both the people we’ve met and the people we’ve found ourselves to be. We’ve seen the best and worst of what South Africa has to offer, and love it regardless. We depart with stories, experiences and friendships which reinforce our place in the world and our responsibility to contribute to it. And we thank all of those who played their part along the way. Salani kahle.
